Wow, how fantastic our seminar was at the Pacific Design Center! The response was just terrific! The feedback we received was that our palettes would be an incredibly useful tool to the designers as they would give an excellent starting point to any design project. We already sell some of the largest home textile converters, manufacturers, and retailers throughout the county.

The audience had great questions and were extremely excited about working with us. They were very interested in our Lifestyle report which speaks to the cross over between apparel and home trends.
Arnie and I look forward to growing the relationship into a profitable and informative adventure for all!

The Fashion Industry Forum Lands in LA

Design Options-- The West Coast’s Only Color Forecasting Service
Becomes the First to Offer Custom Color Buying Online.

Los Angeles, CA (November 08) --Los Angeles based color forecasting service Design Options, announced the launch of their interactive website and online store design-options.com today. The website debuts in conjunction with their one-of-a-kind “DO! Customize,” custom color purchasing concept. This unique online environment allows designers, manufacturers and retailers to pick and choose their own custom color stories from palettes across multiple categories and seasons.

Traditionally, color service firms have offered only complete color story books that are designated into specific categories such as mens, womens and children’s and home. While still maintaining this full-story format, Design Options has now become the first color forecasting company to provide an a la’ carte style palette purchasing option across multiple divisions.
The aptly named “DO! Customize,” format lets designers and buyers hand-pick color stories across five major categories including: Universal Color, Young Contemporary, Young Mens, Home Furnishings and Kids. Within these categories clients can further select palettes from any one of the company’s three seasons of Early Spring, Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter. As a final step clients can then have their reports shipped immediately by completing their purchase at design-options.com.

This ground-breaking offering comes as a result of Design Options Founder and Creative Director, Fran Sude’s recognition of an industry movement towards universal color. “The purchase of color palettes used to be solely about how color forecasters wanted to present their collections,” says Sude who’s spent over 20 years in trend and color forecasting. Sude admits her job is not simply to inspire, but merchandise what she predicts to be “commercially viable,” color choices for products her clients will later decide to manufacture or purchase.
